While carrying a heavy heart to the mound, Edinson Volquez will try to fulfill his dream of ending the Kansas City Royals' 30-year championship drought. Volquez will pitch for the first time since his father's funeral in the Dominican Republic in Game 5 of the World Series against the New York Mets on Sunday night. The 32-year-old right-hander gave up three runs in six innings then left for his native country after the Royals' 5-4 win in 14 innings in Kansas City.
